Instructions
Prep: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt the Chocolate: Add 1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks and 1 tsp coconut oil to a heatproof bowl. Melt using a double boiler over low heat, or microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth and glossy.
Dip the Pretzels: Dip each pretzel halfway into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with Valentine’s sprinkles. Add a light pinch of flaky sea salt if using.
Set: Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is firm. Then remove and enjoy!
Notes
PretzelsFeel free to use any pretzel shape or size; larger pretzels will naturally result in fewer pieces.Melting chocolateIf the chocolate starts to thicken while dipping, gently reheat it in short bursts, stirring often to avoid overheating.Switch up the sprinklesUse different colors or shapes to match any holiday or occasion—these are easy to customize year-round.Quick setI like popping the pretzels in the fridge for 15–20 minutes to help the chocolate set quickly and evenly.StorageStore in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate if your kitchen runs warm.
