Ingredients

  • 3 (6-ounce) containers of berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries or a mix of choice)
  • 1 ½ tbsp granulated sugar
  • Optional: Grand Marnier
  • Plant-based cream, half & half, or coconut cream (to serve)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Berries: Rinse and pat dry 3 (6-ounce) containers of fresh berries. Hull and slice strawberries if using. Place berries in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Macerate with Sugar (Optional Grand Marnier):Sprinkle 1½ tbsp granulated sugar over the berries and gently toss to coat. For an elevated twist, add a splash of Grand Marnier if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the berries are glossy and juicy.
  • Serve with Cream: Spoon the macerated berries and juices into bowls. Pour over whipping cream, half & half, or coconut cream just before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Optional Boozy Twist
My family used to macerate berries with a splash of Grand Marnier—it adds a subtle citrusy warmth that’s so delicious. Just a splash or two.
Berry Mix Tips
Use whatever berries are in season or your favorites. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries all work beautifully.
Storage
Best enjoyed the same day for optimal texture, but leftovers will keep in the fridge for 1–2 days.
